Re: Unable to Connect to Kitely Server
I wasn't able to attach the screenshots or a readable document, so pasting the table I made here. This is a record of the Lag Meter (snapshots) during several attempts to log in this morning (still not able to log on btw). I don't know how to interpret any of this, so help is much appreciated. Thanks!

Re: Unable to Connect to Kitely Server
Well darn... that last post did not retain the table spacing, so you cannot see which times each number aligns to. Sorry about that.

Try repasting the table within Code tags. They use a fixed-width font.
Code: Select all

Hi Sierra,
If you have a firewall please make sure to open all the relevant ports: http://www.kitely.com/faq?id=how-do-I-c ... -to-kitely
Are you seeing anything rezzing when you connect?

Re: Unable to Connect to Kitely Server
I can see the environment around me. I can even get an IM if the person sends it at exactly the right time. While I am logging in, my avatar is standing there in the environment but cannot walk. Sometimes she starts out grey, and will sometimes gain textures over the next minute or two. The connection seems to be coming and going during the minute or two she is standing there. I can see on my computer that I periodically completely lose internet connection to your server, and then it returns--off and on multiple times.Ilan Tochner wrote:Hi Sierra,

Great idea, put the @#$% caches where I can actually FIND them. Thank you!Isis Ophelia wrote:I went through the same procedure as Ada explained above. Besides, I gave each viewer it's own cache folder which I have placed under My Files. It works fine for me now.

Re: Unable to Connect to Kitely Server
Hi Sierra,
It sounds like you are either on a low quality wireless connection or some computer on your network is taking up your bandwidth. This can be the result of running various file-sharing programs and/or streaming data from your computer to some media device.
If no other device is connected to your network and you don't know of any software that can be the culprit then your computer may be infected by some trojan. I recommend downloading another antivirus and checking whether it can find something that your current one can't. There are some decent good ones, for example: http://www.avast.com

Re: Unable to Connect to Kitely Server
Thanks Ilan. You are so wonderful getting back to us all so quickly. I already have Avast!--it's great. My computer is clean as a whistle. I've checked it out and there are no other computers taking up my bandwidth--worked with experts on that. My computer connection is actually very good quality (has to be to be on SL) and I've checked the speed--it's fine. But, on Sunday I am upgrading to "superduper" out of despairation--which probably just means I pay more to feel better. lol.Ilan Tochner wrote:Hi Sierra,

Just now I obtained "Driver Update" and updated all my drives. It only took me two tries to get logged-on to Kitely! (yay)--right now I don't know if that is just the random allowed log-in i've been alloted occasionally, or if it has really been fixed. I'll update here as soon as i know--but right now, i'm scared to log-out before getting some work done. Will get back to you soon. Thanks.
