Re: Organization Archives
Hi Dot,
We haven't written it yet as World Archives are a part of an upcoming improvement to how Organizations work, but we'll write some documentation for this feature soon.

Hi Dot,
Yes, we decided to post some information about the current status of these features. We'll update these wiki pages in the future as we roll out additional features that depend on them.

Re: Organization Archives
Thanks, Ilan.
For example, if there is an app that uses OpenSim commands with permissions set only to object owner (because of threat levels specified in standard Kitely ini settings), how can the destination world owner gain access to the app functionality?
Would it be possible to enable the destination world owner to have some permissions similar to the source world owner?World Archives wiki entry wrote:Objects in the World Archive retain the Owner and permissions that they had in the source world.

Re: Organization Archives
The wiki pages describe how our publicly available options work right now.
World Archives are an exact copy of the archived world, excluding only objects that don't have the Copy permission. They enable easy backup/restore functionality and fast creation of world "clones" that retain the same ownership information that the original world had when it was archived.
World Archives and the World Library will play an important role in our upcoming offering(s). There will be a mechanism for secure sharing/transferring of World Archives between organizations in the future, but that functionality is not currently enabled in our public offering.

Re: Organization Archives
How many World Archives are the different levels of Organisation allowed to have? Is it documented anywhere?
I'm asking because I've just had a message that only 10 world archives are allowed -- that's in a Starter Organisation.

Re: Organization Archives
Hi Dot,
Right now all non-Custom Organization types have a 10 World Archive limit in their World Library. We can increase that number for Custom Organizations on a case by case basis.

Re: Organization Archives
A bit of feedback about the interface for saving and uploading archives on Organisation World pages...
The buttons for "Archive World" and "Replace World" are small and very close together. As a result it can happen that the wrong one is accidentally clicked and a world is replaced rather than saved.
Fortunately I had a replacement already saved... but it could happen to others...
