Latency on my region and elsewhere

Post by Graham Mills »

This is manifest in a number of ways but, for example, I'm unable to Set Scripts to Not Running (process just hangs). 15-20 FPS, Sim and Physics 55 FPS, Ping 180 ms. Latest stable Kokua freshly installed with HTTP Textures and Inventory enabled. About 250 objects inworld, no big textures. Was fine yesterday. World name: Temp4 (closed).

When I relogged I got diverted to a transfer station and stayed there for at least 5-8 min suggesting automatic disconnect was borked too. Avatar loading was slow and clothing slower still (unclothed regions of body were grayed out in Kokua). Eventually got to region by starting it from web interface. Set Scripts was then functional but other scripts still failing in part.

Anything happened between yesterday and today (GMT?).

Very odd.

I'm wondering whether it was a knock-on effect of the Spamhaus DDoS?

I was wondering that myself.
