Unselectable objects

I have a couple of objects in an old oar I've recently revived. I don't recall what they were intended to be but assume they're mine as I don't think this build has ever been public. However, they don't appear to be selectable, editable or derenderable. If I try to edit them, I select the object behind. Although small they're not in a place where they can be easily hidden so my question is whether there is anything I can do to remove them or am I forced to painstakingly reconstruct the build piecemeal?

Have you tried using area search to select them?

Thanks for the suggestion. No, it doesn't appear in area search (I used the filter by distance option to find objects adjacent to my avatar).

OK, I worked it out (what an idiot). It was a static particle image. I just have to figure out what's generating it. Apologies for taking up the bandwidth.

I am Lauren Murphy, owner of the Roundstone Village VAR. My alt, Lisa Auster, is unable to edit her own builds again - I haven't got a clue why. She - and I - would appreciate some help with this - thanks!!

Hi Lauren,

It looks like you set the land to the group and that most of the objects that are rezzed there are set to the group as well. Lisa Auster should deactivate her group before rezzing an object to rezz it without having it set to the group.
